The Alliance and World Handicap System
We have received the following guidance from Scottish Golf :
“Under the new WHS rules, when you are participating in a strokeplay, regular organised event in Scotland, your score MUST be submitted for handicap purposes. If you do not have the facility to submit your score as a General Play Score via the Scottish Golf App or other independent software vendor, you should take a copy of your scorecard and submit it for registration at your Home Club”.
While this is the position while we are playing on Measured Courses from specified tees, this is likely to change while we move into winter months. You will be advised before the start of play if we are playing on a measured course or not.
North East of Scotland Golfers' Alliance
Welcome to our website
The North East of Scotland Golfers’ Alliance has been in existence since the early 1930s with the Championship Uniroyal Quaich first played for in 1935. The first winner of the Championship was James Forrester of Cruden Bay Golf Club. The founders main objective was to bring together professional and amateur golfers, male and female, keen to maintain their interest in golf during the season’s winter months. Members join the Alliance each year in early September and we currently have around 150 members in total with up to 100 players involved in each weekly competition over 25 weeks between September and March.
