2021 November 10 Gross Result Fraserburgh

2021 November 10  Net Result Fraserburgh

Of the 100 time slots available  on the day, 88 players took up the Fraserburgh challenge and by all accounts enjoyed a course in excellent condition.  There were one or two comments about tricky pin positions but they probably came from those who were out of position from the tee (?).  As you would expect, our professional members dominated the scratch prize positions with Craig Lawrie coming in with a 67, just pipping cousin Sean on 68.  Cruden Bay’s Mr Consistent amateur Chris Gilbert had a commendable 70 with Paul Lawrie Golf Centre supremo Craig Dempster one adrift.  Final place scratch prize winner was one handicap amateur Fergus Bisset who would also have won a prize as second placed Class 1 Handicap had the Alliance rules been more generous.

Recently appointed Alliance Committee member Dave Mclean took the Class 1 Handicap honours with a 71 net of his 6 handicap.  Gordon Laing had a more comfortable first place finish in the Class 2 Handicap section with 80 (11) 69.  At the end of the day, all 88 players were the winners in reality.
